Who we are
Cirracloud Limited, company no. 16938812, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: Sherwood, Lower Seagry, Chippenham, England, SN15 5EP. We're the data controller for cirracloud.com and for the previews and websites we build. Contact hello@cirracloud.com.
The cirracloud.com marketing site
If you email us, we use your address only to reply. If you use the free preview request form on our skip hire page, we collect the details you enter — your name, business name, town, mobile number, email address, and (optionally) your current website or Facebook page. The form is submitted through Netlify Forms, our hosting provider's form-handling service, and we use your details only to build your preview and get in touch with you about it. We don't share or sell them.
Previews
A preview we build for you is private: it's hidden from search engines, sits at a link only you have, and is deleted after 30 days unless you go ahead. When someone opens a preview link, the page includes a small, invisible visit-notification image, served by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Loading it tells us that the preview was opened, and records the time and some routine technical request data — such as IP address and browser/device (user-agent) information. We use this only to know when to follow up with you; this image is not present on live customer sites (see below) and sets no cookies.
If you become a customer
If you subscribe to a Cirracloud website, we hold your billing details (processed by Stripe, our payment provider), your contact details, your business details, and the content you supply for your site — text, logo, photos, prices, areas covered, and similar information — so we can build, run and bill for your website.
Live customer sites
We host live customer sites ourselves. A live site does not use analytics, tracking cookies, or any tracking pixel — it's a static site with no visitor tracking of any kind.
Why we can use your information (our lawful bases)
We rely on: performance of a contract, for billing and running your website once you're a customer; and legitimate interests, where we contact a business using publicly listed business contact details to let them know about our service (business-to-business prospecting). You can object to being contacted this way at any time — just tell us and we'll stop.
Who else sees your data (sub-processors)
We use a small number of providers to run our service: Stripe (payments — Stripe is an independent controller for your card payment data, under its own terms), Cloudflare (hosting of customer sites and previews, and the preview visit-notification feature described below), Netlify (cirracloud.com and its forms), and Resend (transactional email). When we build a preview for a business we haven't heard from yet, the public business listing details we start from (name, phone number, address, Google rating) come from Google Maps, sourced via Outscraper, a business-data provider.
International transfers
Cloudflare, Netlify, Stripe and Resend may process personal data outside the UK. Where that happens, we only allow it under a lawful UK transfer mechanism — either the UK's data protection adequacy regulations, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
How long we keep information
Previews expire, and their files are deleted, after 30 days. When a customer's subscription ends, we keep their site files for 30 days in case of restoration, then delete them. We keep billing and tax records for as long as the law requires, typically 6 years.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you; correct it if it's wrong; delete it; restrict or object to our using it; or give you a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@cirracloud.com.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
cirracloud.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Live customer sites we host are the same: no cookies, no analytics. The one exception is private preview pages, which load a single visit-notification image from Cloudflare, described above — this sets no cookies either.
